Why the name is Ileana
A family history in food. A new beginning in Moldova.
Ileana FickewirthIleana Foods’ principal founder, Ileana Fickewirth, was born in Panama into a family with generations of experience in food production.
She grew up in a family where good ingredients, well-made recipes and food that brings people together were taken seriously. Ileana Foods is her way of bringing that culture of flavour and doing things properly to Moldova.

Ileana is joined by Alafina Capital, a U.S. investment firm with a long-term perspective, and a carefully selected team of Moldovan food technologists and industry professionals.
